Cybersecurity Operations to Support the IRC

The war in Ukraine has quickly become the largest displacement crisis in Europe since WWII. Millions of people have been forced to flee to neighboring countries or are internally displaced from their homes. This conflict has drawn the attention of the entire world as images of continued violence and human suffering reach our media headlines daily.

Security Risk Advisors (SRA) has partnered with the International Rescue Committee (IRC), the global non-profit organization that helps people affected by humanitarian crises. The IRC helps people affected by humanitarian crises to survive, recover and rebuild their lives in over 40 countries.

SRA is providing the SCALR™ XDR CyberSOC service at no cost to the IRC in support of their important global efforts.

The International Rescue Committee (IRC) helps people affected by conflict and disaster to survive, recover and rebuild their lives. Today, the IRC works in over 40 crisis-affected countries as well as communities throughout Europe and the Americas. Cross-sector partnerships and commitments are needed to match the global scale of today’s humanitarian crises. SRA and the IRC share a commitment to innovation—and we are grateful for their technology expertise and infrastructure security support.

Chief Information Security Officer, International Rescue Committee

SCALR™ XDR architecture was deployed at no cost to the IRC thanks to the contribution of Cribl. SCALR™ XDR leverages Cribl Stream™ as the conduit for getting data into its integrated stack of SIEM, SOAR and data lake solutions. When SRA shared the IRC’s story with Cribl, CEO Clint Sharp immediately blessed the project, providing enterprise software and support to the IRC at no cost. With the power of Cribl Stream™ at their fingertips, the IRC was able to on-board data to SCALR™ in a matter of days and improve overall security outcomes thanks to the higher-quality data outputs of Cribl.

When I first learned about IRC’s mission, I developed a conviction that SRA must join their work immediately and unconditionally by deploying our world class 24×7 SCALR™ security services for free. SRA is dedicated and humbled to play our part in protecting IRC’s infrastructure to support their critical, life-saving humanitarian work around the world.
